Something wrong with humbucker on my guitar?

one day my bridge pickup just didn't send any signal. when i switched to it no sound came in. So I took my guitar apart til I could see the wires. I don't remember seeing any wires being unattached but a few wires started to unattach out of no where. The whole bridge pickup just came of. Two wires became unattached from the pickup selector and there was a black wire unattached too. Everything that was unattached was soldered back into the right spots and now there are no unattached wires. But still, no sound is coming through from the pickup. But when I was playing it this morning, little sound started to come through when I was playing it through my amp. Some sound was coming through. It wasn't full, but I could hear it coming through my amp. But then it began to crackle a little and it stopped working, So i took my guitar apart again and saw that no wires were unattached again. I compared my bridge pickup to my neck pickup. I saw that my neck pickup was magnetic. But not my bridge pickup. When I put a string on the bridge pickup nothing happened. Does that mean the bridge pickup has to be connected properly for it to be magentic? If it's magnetic does that mean it's connected properly?
