Nail injury, coming unattached? I have acrylics.?

I took a nasty fall and injured my thumb.. I am wearing acrylic nails, my thumb got very swollen and hurt to touch. It didn't bleed but it did have that clear liquid coming from under my nail. Now I can see that most of the nail has come away from the nail bed but did not fall off, I can just see it from the top that my real nail is no longer attached to the nail bed. It looks like it came away only half way down but the nail and the acrylic is still attached. Should I just keep it dry and hope it heels itself or should I get half of the nail and acrylic removed. It's very painful to touch. Should I just get my nails trimmed and continue getting my acrylic filled? The part that is unattached has dried out, it's just dry sensitive skin.
