Wiring a light switch and outlets with 14/3 wire?

I have 14-3 wire running to my unattached garage. I currently have a light switch and 6 lights running off one of the hot wires. I would like to run 6-8 outlets off the other hot wire. Can anyone tell me how to do this and what I would need to do with the neutral? Thanks a lot.
