Is it safe to go in a paddling pool?

I am 9 weeks pregnant and have just filled up our paddling pool which is about 4 foot high. We have filled it with cold water from the hose pipe and I just wondered if it is safe to sit in it or is it too cold? I've read lots about not getting into hot water but not about cold water.
