My digital camera won't connect to the computer?

I have a Samsung ES67 . I've been trying to connect it for a longtime . I've tried restarting the computer , leaving the USB cord unattached to the computer for a while then attach it again but nothing has worked . And all it says is : " Connecting to USB " But it's doing nothing at all ! And just now it showed where I should connect to . And I pressed " computer " and now it says " connecting computer " My computer is not giving any notifications about it , and there is no Removable disk found on my computer ! Please help me , I'm trying to get videos and pictures to send and upload . Please help me , thanks a lot !
