How to make a relationship work when he's always busy?

So i've had this boyfriend for a few months. and Everything was going great, really great. we have plans for the future etc. but he's getting drafted to the ohl and he made the canada team for paddling. we used to spend twice a week together but now we only talk once a week. and that usually leads too arguing, we both wanna spend time with each other but in reality we're only with each other once every two weeks(and it's amazing when we're together) . And im really flexable i have my own life tons of sports, i just dont know how to make this work. I find myself unhappy.. sometimes. what can i do to make this better?
