Does he love this girl?

I just started dating this guy. He told me that he was single, and unattached. As time is going by, I'm starting to think differently. He has the old "classmate" that he reminds him of Sade. I'm not going to lie. The girl does look like Sade, but only better. Anyways, at first he told me that she was sweet, and not what he needs in his life at the moment. Last night, I was listening to Sade while on was talking to him on the phone, and he snapped. He called me a liar, and he said that that was the only thing his classmate that look like Sade had against her. She lied to him...I'm cool with that, but you guys he got really upset!!!!!! So, I asked about her, and every time I ask about her, he ignores me. It's like he's trying to block her out. That is so not good. I have never seen so much anger before. He hates her. My question is, could this "hate" be emotions that he is feeling now, but maybe there is a deeper connection with her than he is willing to admit b/c this girl hurt him by lying to him?
